Helpful Registration Tips
To register for the conference at the reduced member rates, PPTA members must be logged in. If this is your first time logging into PPTA's new registration system, you will need to set up your password.
You are able to register other employees from your organization to attend the conference without needing their username and password. Simply enter their email address and personal information in the registration form. This will allow you to access discounted member rates based on their membership status, and will link the registration to their profile. It is important that you use their email address, as this is what links the registration and makes the discounted member rates available. If you are logged into your profile when registering another person, the invoice for their registration fees will be linked to your profile. If you are not logged in, the invoice will be linked to the registrant's profile.
If your organization is a current PPTA member, but you aren't able to select a discounted member rate when registering an employee, it's likely that individual isn't currently listed in the system. Simply contact Sara Bowden at PPTA to remedy this. Sara can be reached at sara@ppta.net or 717-234-7211 x101.
Transit agencies are asked to pay by check whenever possible.
Room Reservations at the Harrisburg Hilton
The Harrisburg Hilton is sold out on Monday night, and PPTA's room block deadline has passed. Reservation requests are still being accepted for Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, but availability and rate cannot be guaranteed.
In order to book a room at the Hilton, guests must be registered to attend the conference. Rooms are available on the nights of October 28, 29 & 30 at a discounted rate of $127 per night ($140.97 after taxes). Parking in the Hilton's attached garage is available for an additional $10 per night, per vehicle. As with PPTA's 2019 Spring Conference in Lancaster, room reservations for the 2019 Fall Conference are being managed through PPTA. Reservations cannot be made directly through the hotel. PPTA will make a hotel reservation in your name using the information you provide in the registration form. You will receive a confirmation of your room reservation within 10 business days. Please note that credit card information must be provided to secure the reservation, but will not be charged until check-in.
The easiest way to make a room reservation is to provide those details when registering for the conference. If you need to reserve a room for someone already registered for the conference, or adjust or cancel an existing reservation, simploy contact Sara Bowden directly at sara@ppta.net or 717-234-7211 x101. Cancellations must be made through PPTA and no later than 48 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee of $140.97.
Credit card authorization forms are available on request. Contact Nicole Radel at the Harrisburg Hilton at nicole.radel@hilton.com to request a form. We recommend requesting and completing an authorization form if you will not have the credit card being charged with you at check-in, or if the card is in someone else's name.
We strongly recommend registering for the conference and providing your room reservation details before Monday, October 7. PPTA's room block will be released on that date, and we cannot guarantee that PPTA's discounted rate, nor accommodations in general, will be available after October 7.
