Most agencies use group trips as the cornerstone of their scheduling. Whether your agency is attempting to spread the vehicles throughout the service area, activate all runs based on future demand, or be as efficient as possible – groups can help you achieve your agency’s goals! This intensive immersion class is expanding for the first time to a two-day training:
Wednesday, January 8 (10 AM to 5 PM) will include a structured training, focusing on how to identify trips that should be in groups, review group scheduling for violations, and learn more about how groups are affected by Run Availability and PU / DO rules. Attendees will walk through how to review groups in the Ecolane DRT system and determine their overall health and accuracy. Attendees will review the steps and functions necessary to build a new group, split groups, review current scheduling details for groups both within the software and visually on maps. Attendees will learn how to use the built in “what-if” scheduling functionality for groups and then automatically update groups with new PU stop order times based on these scenarios.
Thursday, January 9 (8 AM to 3 PM) will serve as a hands-on workshop where Ecolane will work with attendees on identifying and implementing solutions to real scheduling problems at their agencies.
Who should attend: This course is designed for full time schedulers, dispatchers or managers who have primary responsibility for managing and/or maintaining groups. This is not an introductory level class and will not cover the basics of reservations intake or basic scheduling functions.
