Adjusted to virtual training on June 10-11

This one-day intensive immersion class is designed for full time schedulers, dispatchers, or managers who have been using Ecolane to actively schedule and dispatch for 6 or more months. This is not an introductory level class and will not cover the basics of reservations intake or basic scheduling functions. If you have primary job responsibility for preparing and managing and readying schedules for next day transportation, or managing the same day schedules, monitoring drivers and accommodate changes in fleet and demand, then this is the class for you. Attendees will be walked through how the Ecolane DRT system schedules and uses varying levels of configuration and violations settings to achieve scheduling results both in day before and real time. Attendees will review the steps and functions necessary to: review and improve schedules the day before service, address no-runs before and during service, and proactively manage runs for optimal results based on this knowledge of configuration and violation settings.

Cost: No charge

Equipment: Attendees must bring a laptop that has Google Earth installed and can connect to Wi-Fi. PennTRAIN has a limited number of laptops that can be loaned to attendees, though we ask that you provide your own if possible. Loaner laptops will be allocated upon registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shuttle Transport: CATA has very limited parking options at this time. To best accommodate you, CATA is providing a shuttle, which will depart from the front of the Courtyard by Marriott twenty (20) minutes before the training is scheduled to begin. The Courtyard is located at 1730 University Drive, State College, PA 16801, and parking there is free and plentiful. The shuttle will return to the Courtyard at the conclusion of the training. Please utilize this shuttle to avoid parking at CATA and potentially impacting their operations.

Lodging: PennTRAIN has secured a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott, located at 1730 University Drive, State College, PA 16801, for the nights of June 9 and 10, 2020 at the government rate of $103/night plus taxes. Click here to book online, or call 814-238-1881 and ask for the PennTRAIN block. Rooms will be released on May 9, 2020 or when sold out.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and breaks will be provided. Please inform Sara Bowden at sara@ppta.net of any dietary restrictions at least one week in advance.

Attire: Casual. Because it can be a challenge to keep the meeting room at a temperature that accommodates everyone, we recommend bringing a sweater or jacket to stay comfortable.
