Secrets of PowerPoint
Four sessions, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. on March 9, 16, 23 and 30. You must attend all four sessions.
Have you ever wondered how some people are able to present ideas flawlessly using PowerPoint and others struggle with keeping the audience engaged? If you want to feel more in control of your PowerPoint presentations, then this four-week class is for you.
Session 1 – Basics
This session covers the basics of creating a slideshow. The PowerPoint interface, creating and managing slides, slide transitions, and running a slide show will be the topic of this class.
Session 2 – Designing Templates
Using templates built-in to PowerPoint can make slide creation quick, easy, and consistent. However, creating your own templates can be a positive attention getter and add some pizazz and personality to your slide show.
Session 3 – ADA accessible presentations and Tricks and tips
Beyond what goes into creating a functional slideshow, this session provides guidelines on producing a slideshow that can be easily followed by all audience members. As with any software package, tips and tricks of using the software will be covered along with recommendations on providing an effective presentation.
Session 4 – The Presentation
We will wrap up the PowerPoint training by covering material not previously touched on and discussing the actual presentation of a slide show are the topics for this class.
