Even after decades of effort and investment in the creation and delivery of ADA compliant transportation services, people with disabilities continue to cite the ability to use public transit as a barrier to their equal participation in community life. This course will present a framework for evaluating the accessibility and equity of transit services for people with disabilities, and it will provide strategies for identifying, prioritizing and evaluating potential service and policy improvements.
Format Mix of presentation, large group discussion and small group activities.
Audience: People who are responsible for planning and managing transit service and people who are involved in community outreach and engagement.
