PennTRAIN has partnered with the PPTA Finance Committee to present this informative session to provide end users with an overview of the transit procurement process in the Commonwealth. This session is intended for those involved in the procurement process, outside of procurement specialists. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the procurement process, the factors considered when choosing solutions, and their role in this vital process.

The session will include:

  • Introduction to PA Transit Procurement: Learn about the various phases of the procurement process, from identifying needs to selecting vendors.
  • Contracts: What you may need for vendor insurance, purchase orders and unusual situations.

  • Transparency and Accountability: Understand the principles of transparency and accountability in procurement.
  • Checklist of Requirements: What information is needed to complete the ICE
  • Q&A and Discussion: Engage in open discussions with procurement practitioners. Share your experiences and ideas while getting answers to your questions.
