In this introductory session we will cover the various types of retirement plans available to municipal authorities and the characteristics of each type. We will also present an overview of the various roles involved in retirement plan compliance and administration – legal, actuarial, investment, etc. Finally, we will present a high-level discussion about identifying risk, retirement plan design alternatives, and current trends in the governmental plan sector.
