PennDOT’s Cyber Security Task Force is proud to offer 3 cybersecurity tabletop workshops to test your agency’s Incident Response Plan (IRP). Having an effective IRP is one of the most important things your agency can do to ensure you are prepared to respond to a cyberattack should one occur. Tabletop exercises are training exercises your cybersecurity team should periodically perform to ensure they are prepared to respond to a cyberattack. In a tabletop exercise, your cybersecurity team will work through a specific scenario such as a ransomware attack or a data breach and, using your IRP, discuss what actions they would take.
Please join us for one of the three (3) in-person workshops across the state designed to provide instructions on how to review, update, and test your agency’s Incident Response Plan (IRP).
The in-person workshops will be all day events (8am - 5pm) with lunch included. You are currently on the registration page for the workshop which will be held on 7/30/2025 at Luzerne County Transit Authority (LCTA), 300 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
Who Should Attend?
It is recommended, at a minimum, that the person in charge of IT support at your agency attend. If your agency outsources IT support, it would be the individual who oversees the contract with your IT support vendor and ideally one of your vendor’s staff members. Other individuals who should consider attending include your legal counsel, a member of your public relations team and a member of your executive team. If you have limited staff, please send someone who can share experience with your agency.
