Cybersecurity Webinar on Incident Response Planning & Tabletop Exercise

Session Description

Join the Cybersecurity Task Force and Janus Associates for a webinar on tabletop exercises and incident response planning. This webinar is a follow-up to the in-person workshops which were conducted over the past few months. The webinar will summarize the outcomes of those workshops and will incorporate activities designed to supplement the workshops and help agencies ensure they are prepared for a cyber-attack.

• Overview of Tabletop Exercises and Incident Response Planning
• Lessons Learned at the In-person Workshops
• Choreographed Tabletop Exercises -  Some transit agency staff will demonstrate how a tabletop exercise is executed.
• Agency Tabletop Exercise Debriefs - A few of the transit agencies who attended one of the in-person workshops have agreed to conduct a tabletop exercise prior to the webinar. During the webinar, these agencies will provide a summary of their experiences in doing so.

Learning Objectives:

• Review lessons learned from recent in-person workshops on cybersecurity preparedness

• Observe a choreographed tabletop exercise demonstration led by transit agency staff

• Apply takeaways from agency tabletop debriefs to strengthen your own response plan

Who should attend?

Preparing for and responding to an incident requires the awareness and participation of people throughout the agency and not just IT staff. Consequently, it is recommended that one or more individuals from the following areas in your agency attend:

• Executive staff
• Communications / Marketing staff
• IT staff
• IT contractors
• Operations managers

What if you have already attended one of the in-person workshops?

This webinar is designed to complement the in-person workshops and will be valuable for those who attended one of the in-person workshops as well as those who did not.
