PPTA 2019 Roadeo & Summer Meeting: Roadeo Contestants

1. At a minimum, participants should be a full- or part-time operator for not less than one (1) year and cannot have had a preventable accident within the calendar year prior to the Roadeo.
2. In addition, contestants should generally have a good attendance record and cannot have been subject to punitive action during the prior calendar year.
3. Each PPTA entity is responsible for ensuring that their participants meet these qualifications.
4. Each PPTA entity is permitted to enter three (3) operators in each classification - Bus and Paratransit.
5. For PPTA members who sub-contract services, those subcontractors shall be allowed to enter operators, however, the sub-contractors' entrants shall be included in the members' limit of three (3) participants per category.

The Michael Ross Event Center is located at 144 W 3rd Street, Williamsport, PA, on the third floor of the Trade & Transit Center II Building.

*Sign up for the 4 PM or 5:15 PM Hiawatha River Cruise when registering on-site

*Timing is dependent upon completion of tabulation

Parking at the Roadeo site is not available. A continuous shuttle will run all day between the Residence Inn & Towneplace Suites and the Williamsport Regional Airport.

PPTA will be piloting a digital scoring system at select stops during the 2019 Roadeo. This system, provided and managed by Robert Carlson Consulting, has been used at several national and state Roadeos with great success. During this pilot, paper will still be the primary scoring device for the Roadeo, as each stop will have a judge completing a paper form. Judges will not be required to use the digital system, but may opt in when registering. They will then receive a tablet to input scores digitally during the competition, and an orientation will be provided during Saturday's mandatory judges meeting. Provided that we have enough judges, every effort will be made to only require one input method per judge (paper or digital).
