Pennsylvania transit providers are getting more and more complaints from employees and customers on ADA issues including ‘reasonable accommodation.’ To protect your organization, PPTA's ADA Toolkit has undergone major revisions in recent months. During this course, PPTA's legal counsel Jill Nagy will guide attendees through the updated toolkit, provide examples, and answer questions about how this tool can be utilized at your transit agency. The target audience for this training is policy writers and managers. It will be policy and process driven, with a focus on accommodations for passengers rather than employees.

Presented by: Jill Nagy, Summers Nagy Law Offices

Cost: $99. PPTA cancellation policy applies.

Shuttle Transport: CATA has very limited parking options at this time. To best accommodate you, CATA is providing a shuttle, which will depart from the front of the Courtyard by Marriott at 8:10 AM. The Courtyard is located at 1730 University Drive, State College, PA 16801, and parking there is free and plentiful. The shuttle will return to the Courtyard at the conclusion of the training. Please utilize this shuttle to avoid parking at CATA and potentially impacting their operations.

Lodging: PennTRAIN has secured a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott, located at 1730 University Drive, State College, PA 16801. Rooms are available at a discounted rate of $103 per night (plus taxes and fees) for the night of November 19. Click here to book online, or call 814-238-1881 to book over the phone (mention PennTRAIN to secure the discounted rate). Rooms will be released on November 5, 2019.

Meals: Lunch and breaks will be provided during the training. Please inform Sara Bowden at sara@ppta.net of any dietary restrictions at least one week in advance.

Attire: Casual. Because it can be a challenge to keep the meeting room at a temperature that accommodates everyone, we recommend bringing a sweater or jacket to stay comfortable.

Available Seats: 24
